January Writing Prompt Challenge: Day 13

wordwhackerDay off work today; kind of glad I had to get up for a meeting, because it helped me get going. Would have been very tempted to sleep in otherwise. I may have a nap later if I feel like it.
Anyway, prompt time!
DAY THIRTEEN PROMPT:
A model wants to gain fame from/with a school, but they will have to act against a fickle community they belong to.
I originally had the aspect card on the school, but I decided to make the community fickle instead. I'm considering writing it as a bit of a period piece, with the backdrop of 70's/ 80's second wave feminism as the community conflict. What's a lesbian who really wants to be a model to do? Is it worth being seen as a sell-out to the patriarchy? And there would probably be an aspect of being closeted as well. Is it possible that a former friend would out her and get her expelled? There are a lot of things to navigate in here. But I like the concept of a character who just... really wants to be a model. Everything about it appeals to her. She finds it incredibly fulfilling and, in some ways, liberating.
