Will post chapter three later (they're getting progressively more sucky, but such is NaNo), when I have the energy to add all of the #%(&@# HTML for my excessive use of italics.

Though my characters just aren't doing what they're supposed to do, the little bastards. Varn was supposed to freak out and confront his attackers in chapter 3. Instead, he said he wasn't going to do that, and instead just let them think he was dead so he could go into hiding.
Varn, you were supposed to spaz out at things!
