Another writing-themed journal entry...
Jun. 1st, 2004 01:39 am... wherein I grumble and snarl at myself for once again not managing to finish (or even make any real headway in) "Splintered Soul".
The reason for this is fairly simple: For reasons beyond my control, it has decided that it wants to be a dialogue intensive piece of writing. Which gives me the willies. Especially considering by "dialogue intensive" I mean "four people arguing with each other is the main meat of the story exposition".
Why can't it just be prose? Why? *sob*
So I've been noodling around with the lead-up to this Horrifying Dialogue Scene, and trying to sketch out the characters involved, and am annoyed because what was supposed to be a simple little drabble has decided to turn itself into something that is going to need some major concentration/re-working/general WORK.
Bah.
So maybe I'll go review
dvandva's stories instead.
Muaha.
