Well, folks - it's that time again.

NaNoWriMo has officially begun and, as expected, the story idea that I've been planning to use since early August has been abandoned. Not permanently, mind - but the seductive lure of the seat-of-your-pants, who-needs-a-proper-outline-anyway, why-not-take-the-concept-of-'write-what-you-know'-entirely-too-literally-and-chronicle-an-event-from-last-year route has proven, once again, to prevail.

I've popped my first bag of low-fat popcorn. I've stopped using such feeble procrastination devices as "I'm too tired to see the screen". It's go time.

I've decided to novelize a trip I took last year at the end of August / beginning of September. It was a huge, major turning point in my life, and it was a hell of a lot of fun, to boot. The weekend just semed to unfold in a way that would lend itself really nicely to a story. Oh, and it involved a lot of sex. Gotta love that.
