Well, folks - it's that time again.

NaNoWriMo has officially begun and, as expected, the story idea that I've been planning to use since early August has been abandoned. Not permanently, mind - but the seductive lure of the seat-of-your-pants, who-needs-a-proper-outline-anyway, why-not-take-the-concept-of-'write-what-you-know'-entirely-too-literally-and-chronicle-an-event-from-last-year route has proven, once again, to prevail.

I've popped my first bag of low-fat popcorn. I've stopped using such feeble procrastination devices as "I'm too tired to see the screen". It's go time.

my initial muse abandoned me to the vagaries of a new muse that moved in w/ a boatload of bunnies, 2 of which were preggy!, so now i'm on a diff tangent on a story, diff season in the fanfic realm (partially negatiing the research i'd done), and just SO diff POV that i'm shocked!
i plan on cleaning out the computer room/library here at home as my 'delay' tactic :) hubby's THRILLED (no sarcasm on that, honest, he IS thrilled) b/c he's been waiting for me to do this since we moved in 3 yrs ago! oooops! :)

It's amazing what motivates one to clean, eh?

I should make another post to this journal, since I've had yet ANOTHER plot hijack my brain for the month. Suddenly I'm writing youth fiction. Youth fiction?! I was supposed to be writing introspective homoerotic ancient chinese afterlife smut, dammit!
