Sep. 24th, 2004 09:00 pmAhh,
wordwhacker. I've been neglecting you of late. After
chibiakki stunned the crap out of me by pulling ahead and outright finishing the challenge on Sunday, I've not only been too busy to write, but a little put off on the idea. Probably because it's bringing back memories of the time I wrote 17,000 words in one sitting last year. The neck pain was awful. I need some phonebooks so my monitor will be at the right level with my, y'know, head.
I'm a bit behind pace again, though, so I'll have to get some writing done tonight. I think I'll make 20,000 words my goal for the end of the evening.
demonblade and
chibiakki, y'all better be doing some serious writing on each of your new challenges. Only about 35 days to go to get 30,000 words in, remember!

Date: 2004-09-25 04:52 am (UTC)And what percentage of W/writers do you think successfully make characterization, plot, themes, etc, happen?
(Of course, if I had my way, I'd have Martha Stewart's job)

Date: 2004-09-25 05:12 am (UTC)Heh. Point. My problem is that I think about it too much. I mean, it can't hurt to have a clear idea of what you want to say, and try to have your themes and how to incorporate them figured out to some degree... But if I think about it to the point that I can't even write it to begin with? Not good. *laughs*
